With your help, we’ve crossed the 465,000 meal count in feeding those in need in our community since the pandemic began.

Your support made the difference! Whether you volunteered to help pack meals funded by Covid-19 relief grants or you personally gave to support the cost of meals (or both!), you changed the lives of kids and families through Youthfront’s Something to EatTM. Thank you for blessing families with meals through this program.

With the grant funds expended, donor support helps us keep providing meals. Our food distribution partners are still seeing high demand, and every dollar helps us provide meals to those facing hunger in this difficult time.

Thank you again for making a HUGE and direct impact for your neighbors in need.

Stay tuned for an exciting volunteer opportunity we’ll be offering this spring that will again be a chance for neighbors to help neighbors. Watch your email in the coming weeks!

Nearly 50 million people in the United States live in food insecure households.

By definition, food insecurity is “the limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate and safe food.” 16.2 million children lack the means to get enough nutritious food on a regular basis, and 1 in 5 children in Kansas City suffer from food insecurity.

Gather your friends, coworkers, family, youth group & help fight hunger!

These crazy fun parties get people together to pack delicious, healthy meals that are given to hunger relief groups in the communities in which the parties take place. We can come to you or you can come to us. But be ready to get your hairnet on and help fight hunger!

We fight hunger while teaching youth about the importance of being neighborly.

Not only do we want to fight hunger, we also strive to find the underlying elements of it and combat the root causes of poverty. Today’s youth will soon be the leaders in our world. We want them to experience compassion and kindness and give them the opportunity to help those in need.

Something to Celebrate

Since 2009, we have been able to pack 6,338,987 meals. Many of these meals stayed right here in Kansas City and helped feed the 1 in 5 kids that suffer from food insecurity. Thank you to everyone who donated, participated, threw a party, and volunteered! Because of you, over a million people in need received a nutritious meal.
